Frequently asked questions

1. What does the application of the FUE VITA hair transplant method look like?
✨ Allows for the transplantation of up to 5,000 grafts ✨
✅ Using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method, each graft contains 1 to 4 follicles. Follicles are extracted individually after local anesthesia is applied. The micro-extraction process is carried out with a micro motor tool, creating tiny incisions between 0.6 and 1.0 mm in diameter.
✅ The doctor then opens channels to maintain a natural appearance and density, carefully considering hair angle and growth direction. The channels are opened using a Sapphire blade, the latest surgical tool in this field of medicine.
✅ Additionally, in the VITA method, the follicles are placed in a specialized device where they are treated with a saline solution enriched with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids in a cooling mist. This keeps the follicles alive throughout the procedure.
✅ The most critical factor in the VITA method is the expertise of the doctor and medical staff. Channel opening requires precision.
2. What does the consultation before a hair transplant procedure look like?
This is a very important stage that allows our team to understand the patient’s needs.
✅ During the consultation, the frontal hairline is established.
✅ Its positioning depends on the arrangement of the occipitofrontalis muscle.
✅ The precise distribution of grafts is also determined.
3. How to care for your hair after a transplant?
Post-transplant care includes a series of needle mesotherapy treatments with vitamin and peptide solutions, as well as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
💉 This strengthens not only the transplanted hair but also the remaining natural hair. For more information, visit our blog.
4. What determines the number of grafts transplanted?
✅ The size of the hair transplant is an individual matter
✅ It primarily depends on the efficiency of the donor area
✅ Another important aspect is whether this is the patient’s first transplant
✅ It also depends on the needs of the recipient area
At Dr. Art Clinic, every procedure is performed with a focus on maximum density!
5. What is the anti-swelling band used after the procedure?
The anti-swelling band is an invaluable component of post-hair transplant care. This seemingly simple accessory is designed to minimize the risk of swelling that may occur in the transplanted area. It acts as gentle support, applying pressure on the surgical area to help reduce swelling. Using the anti-swelling band is crucial for both patient comfort and an effective healing process. It reduces the risk of complications associated with swelling while supporting proper ventilation and drainage of any discharge. This helps the healing process to proceed smoothly, leading to more satisfying transplant results. Remember, the anti-swelling band is not only a rehabilitation aid but also essential for your comfort after a hair transplant procedure.

Well-chosen accessories are key to achieving optimal results and feeling satisfied with your decision.
6. Do I need to cut my hair short before the procedure?
It all depends on the method we use. With the DHI method, shaving the head is not necessary.

This method is most commonly used for women and for those who prefer not to cut their hair, although it allows for the transplantation of up to only 3,500 grafts. Hair follicles are extracted from the donor area and then placed in an isotonic solution. Implantation is performed with the Choi Pen tool, which simultaneously creates a channel and inserts the follicle. Unlike the FUE method, DHI does not require pre-formed channels. This process occurs simultaneously as the follicle is placed into the balding recipient area.
7. Is the FUE method suitable for both women and men?
Yes, because FUE is a minimally invasive procedure. It is a suitable method for both men and women who want to restore the appearance of their hair.
8. Which method do we use for eyebrow transplants?
The only safe method for eyebrow transplantation is the DHI method, as the channel creation process in the FUE method can damage existing hair follicles.
9. Who most commonly undergoes beard transplant procedures?
This procedure is often performed on young men for whom a full beard is a sign of maturity, as well as on men with acne scars or scars from mechanical injuries. A beard transplant can also be done for purely aesthetic reasons.
10. How soon after the transplant can I wear a head covering?
We usually recommend waiting about 10 days after a hair transplant before wearing a LOOSE (non-restrictive) head covering. Unfortunately, wearing a head covering immediately after the transplant can damage the transplanted hairs, leading to unsightly gaps in hair growth and, of course, disrupting the healing process.

We advise avoiding tight head coverings for at least 3 months after the procedure.
11. When can I resume physical activity after a transplant?
A hair transplant is a procedure after which you need to give your scalp some time to heal and adjust to the new hair.

Consultation with your specialist is very important. In standard cases, you can gradually return to physical activity after about a month. However, it's essential to remember that healing is an individual process, and careful attention to post-operative care is crucial.
