Post-Transplant Care: How to Care for Your Scalp After the Procedure
15 April 2024Hair Transplant Process – Preparation, Procedure, and Duration
16 April 2024Advantages of the Sapphire FUE Method
The sapphire blade offers more aesthetic and healthier results than a regular surgical blade. The channels created are smaller with a smoother structure, and there is less tissue damage compared to other transplantation techniques. Follicles can be easily implanted at the correct angle, resulting in a natural final look. Thanks to the precision of the sapphire blade, the channels are the exact size of the hair follicles, reducing discomfort for the patient. Due to relatively low swelling, recovery time is shorter compared to procedures done with a standard steel blade.
There are many ways to restore hair, but not all are equally effective or satisfying. The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique, however, provides excellent results while being almost entirely safe for the patient. It is currently the most advanced, safest, and most precise method in the world.
Sapphire FUE Method
This is the most modern FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant method, where channels are opened with a sapphire blade—the latest surgical tool in this field of medicine. It allows for the transplantation of up to 5,000 grafts, with each graft containing 1 to 3 hairs. Hair follicles are individually extracted under local anesthesia. The micro-extraction process is performed with a micromotor, which creates tiny incisions from 0.6 to 1 mm in diameter. Channels are opened by the doctor to maintain the natural appearance and density of the hair, considering the angle and direction of hair growth.
At Dr. Art Clinic by Trychoestetyka, we use the VITA method with every hair transplant procedure. This method involves placing the grafts in a specialized device where they receive a cooling mist of saline solution with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
Who Can Benefit from FUE Hair Transplantation?
The primary group for FUE is people experiencing androgenetic alopecia. However, this is not the only group who can benefit from this technology. FUE can also be used in areas where hair loss has resulted from trauma, leaving scars that prevent hair regrowth. FUE can also address mild hair loss in areas other than the scalp and is used to enhance eyebrows, eyelashes, mustaches, chest hair, and even intimate areas.
Advantages of the FUE Method:
- The sapphire blade delivers more aesthetic and healthier results than a standard surgical blade, with smaller channels and a smoother structure, leading to less tissue damage than other transplantation methods.
- Follicles can be easily implanted at the correct angle, ensuring a natural appearance.
- The precision of the sapphire blade creates channels that match the size of the hair follicles, minimizing unnecessary discomfort.
- Due to the relatively low swelling, recovery time is shorter than with a standard steel blade.
When Can We Expect Results?
Recovery after an FUE hair transplant is generally quick and usually complication-free.
The donor area typically heals completely within about 7 days after the transplant.
Some precautions are necessary after the procedure—do not touch the recipient area or consume alcohol on the first night. Small scabs may form in the treated areas and will naturally disappear within 5–7 days. It’s essential not to touch, scratch, or expose them to sunlight. Slight redness or bruising may also occur but will subside on its own.
